About the Mighty Food Waste Mission
Did you know that Wales is one of the world's top recycling nations? This is fantastic, but a quarter of the average rubbish bin is still made up of food, costing the average family £83 per month.
Through The Mighty Food Waste Mission, pupils have learned how we can use up commonly wasted foods – such as potatoes, veggies and chicken – in quick and simple family meals, whilst recycling the items of food that can’t be eaten to help create renewable energy.
To discover Wales Recycles’ top tips, how food waste is recycled into energy or to order a caddy visit our Be Mighty. Recycle campaign page.
